1. The reality of the game, as it is played today, is that it is a joke. Players are given minimal information and are therefore forced to make choices that are either completely random or in line with their chosen strategy but have no bearing on the outcome of the game.

2. To increase their chances of winning, players are encouraged to use both behaviour and cooperation to manipulate the results of games in their favour. It has led many people to call the game a fraud, and it would not be surprising if it were eventually banned altogether.

3. Despite all this, there is still some appeal to be found in the game; for those willing to suspend disbelief and believe that they can win simply by playing within the rules.
